Seamless AV. Australia-wide
A two-day conference at Hilton Sydney brought together up to 150 attendees for a full programme of presentations, delivered with professional AV end-to-end.
Running a two-day conference is a significant undertaking. The organiser needed every session to start on time, every speaker to be heard clearly, and every slide to display exactly as rehearsed. With a packed programme across both days and an audience of up to 150 people, there was no room for fumbled microphone handovers, signal dropouts or screens that weren't bright enough for a hotel conference room.
They needed a production partner who could take the AV off their plate entirely, arriving prepared and staying across every technical detail so the organiser could focus on their speakers, their guests and the programme itself.
IHAV supplied a complete AV package suited to the room and the audience size. The audio backbone was a QSC K12 speaker pair driven through an Allen and Heath Qu16 mixer, giving the room clean, consistent sound at any seat. Presenters had their choice of a Shure gooseneck microphone at the lectern or one of two Shure ULXD2 wireless handhelds for more flexible delivery.
Vision was handled through a Roland V-160HD video switcher feeding a pair of 55-inch 4K screens positioned for clear sightlines across the theatre-style layout. Decimator signal converters kept every laptop and source reliable through the full two days, and three show laptops were on standby so no presenter ever had to troubleshoot their own machine. The result was a smooth, professional presentation environment from the first session on day one through to close of play on day two.

Central vision control for clean, reliable switching between presenter laptops and sources across both conference days.
Large-format 4K displays positioned for clear sightlines in a theatre-style conference room for up to 150 attendees.
A matched pair of QSC K12 loudspeakers on stands delivered consistent, even coverage throughout the room.
A 22-channel digital mixer giving the audio operator precise control over every microphone and playback source.
Professional wireless handhelds gave presenters freedom of movement, backed by a gooseneck mic at the lectern for a polished look.
Kept every video source stable and correctly formatted across the two-day programme, eliminating the risk of signal dropouts.
The event ran exactly as the organiser needed it: on schedule, without technical issues, and with presenters and attendees able to focus on the content…
